Is it real that UPSC postponed its famous exam of Indian Administration Services i.e. Civil Services Examination until further notice?

Yes! UPSC today on 4th May 2020 chaired a meeting to review the situation after 2nd Nationwide Lockdown as from 4th of May 2020 Lockdown 3.0 will ply.


Why UPSC Postponed CSE or IAS Exam After a Month?

UPSC is known to play with the sentiments of its aspirants, by doing unpredictable things. Be it from abruptly removing optional to adding a paper for just qualifying or changing it’s syllabus and exam pattern.

But this time UPSC could not do any of these because of Covid-19 Pandemic which has grasped the world to lock inside their home. So the question comes why UPSC postponed its famous IAS exam now after a month of lockdown?

However these speculations turned futile when the Health Ministry Reported increase in number of Covid Case days before Lockdown 2.0 was to end.

As it seems lockdown may extend in strict adherence to the guidlines on the basic of Zones district wise it was well sought by UPSC body to take an action on it and ease the students.

Why Students be Cautious of Exam date Extension?

The mindset of students who are preparing day and night for their dream job may shift for unknow period of time. This year already had low vacancy many aspirants might have not filled the form just because of that while may will get over age which is a major reason because UPSC have limited age and limited attempts.
