NITI Aayog SDG India Index 2020-21

NITI Aayog has released the Sustainable Development Goal list for Indian State for 2020. This is the third edition of NITI aayog’s SDG India Index from 2020.

This year some economic indicator like Ginni Coefficient which measure tge dustrubution of income used in 2019 SDG Index while Palma Ratio which was used in 2018 were skipped. A more socialistic approach was used.

For this SDG in the 2020 edition of the Index. It gives greater weightage to social equality indicators, such as the percentage of women and Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe representatives in State Legislatures and the panchayati raj institutions and the levels of crime against the SC/ST communities. The only economic indicator this year is the percentage of population in the lowest two wealth quintiles.
